Nailer’s Yard – Bromsgrove Market Hall Redevelopment
David Smith St Ives worked on the redevelopment of the Former Market Hall in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. The site, which had been vacant since 2010, has been transformed into a new economic and cultural hub and forms a key cornerstone of the plans to rejuvenate Bromsgrove town centre.
The revitalisation of the site includes an open-plan pavilion building, suitable for hosting creative community events, along with a separate four-storey commercial building that will host high-quality office space to support business start-ups and co-working spaces.
David Smith St Ives worked with main contractor Kier Construction to provide all the internal doorsets for both buildings.

Our dedicated design team reviewed the architect’s details and then scheduled the project using our in-house doorset software package that includes live FoA checks for fi re compliance. The full doorset schedule was then issued for client approval along with supplementary project specifi c CAD drawings detailing frame sections, seals, door elevations, glazing, ironmongery and associated screen details. This included our technical pack covering Storage, Care, Handling and Installation guidance.
Once approved by the client, these were then converted into factory instructions with cutting sheets, CNC frame/ door programs and barcoded product labels using the same software.
Delivery was then made to site in two consignments working from the third fl oor down as requested by the site team.
