From our long experience in the health sector we have developed a full range of lead-lined doorsets that provide protection from harmful radiation in areas where X-rays are used. The doorsets are lined with lead of a specified thickness from Code 3 to Code 7, as designated by the National Radiological Protection Board or the appointed advisor, achieving FD30 and FD60 fire resistance.

Timber veneers
Our wide range of veneer species provide natural beauty and character of timber from around the world.
Crown cut, quarter cut or rotary cut options are available for most of our veneers.
Laminates
High pressure laminates are available in plain colours, woodgrains or patterns. They provide high resistance to surface scratching and impact damage.
The face of the door leaf is complemented with hardwood lipping’s, which can be exposed, concealed, or finished with our very popular S-rad details.
PVC
PVC is ideal for doors that require very high resistance to impact damage. The 2mm-thick material absorbs general knocks, while the through colour masks surface scratches.
For our encapsulated doorset range, the PVC fully encapsulates the door leaf faces and edges. Across the rest of our doorset range, the face of the door leaf is complemented with hardwood lippings, which can be exposed, concealed or finished with our very popular S-rad detail.
Paint grade
For a plain colour to complement or match door frames, paint grade doors are the ideal solution.
Faced with our Premium PG facing, the doors are lipped with hardwood which is concealed under an ultra-smooth laminate layer, designed to give a superior finish.
Colourcote
A high quality factory applied finish with a smooth sheen appearance in a range of RAL colours, exceeding the quality and performance but is not meant to compete with brush or roller applied site finishes.
Ideal for use in Schools, Hospitals, Care Homes, Hotels, Restaurants, Residential Accommodation including Kitchens, Bathrooms and Bedrooms. It is not harmful to the environment and can be applied with an anti-bacterial additive.
Available in the full range of RAL colours with a smooth sheen appearance.
Veneer
Our timber veneers can be finished with a performance lacquer or anti-bacterial coating to provide good resistance to scratches and general abrasions.
Veneers can also have an interior wood stain applied prior to application of lacquer. Colours are achieved using dyes that create excellent definition and depth.
Laminate and PVC
The timber lippings can be finished with a performance lacquer or anti-bacterial coating to provide good resistance to scratches and general abrasion.
Beading for vision panels can be finished to match lippings or painted to any RAL colour.
Paint grade
Finished with our primer coat for final decoration on-site during installation, or alternatively can be supplied fully factory finished with our Colourcote system that has the hard-wearing characteristics of a lacquer finish.
Vision panels
The choice of glazing in door leaves is primarily based on the safety of all individuals negotiating access.
Although vision panels serve a genuine purpose, they become a prominent feature that can be used to enhance the appearance of door leaves.
Our exclusive range of aperture configurations provides the means to create unique designs.
X-Ray glazing bead
Glazing beads lined with lead of a specified thickness from Code 3 to Code 7, as designed by the National Radiological Protection Board or the appointed advisor.
They are generally fixed with steel pins, punched in and filled, although alternative methods such as screw fixings are available.
X-ray frame
Door frames are lined with lead of a specified thickness from Code 3 to Code 7, as designated by the National Radiological Protection Board or the appointed advisor.
Decorative timbers
We offer a range of decorative frame timbers, evaluated to suit performance, budget and customer preference.
For a natural or luxurious look, we have a range of decorative timbers sourced from certified well-managed forests around the world.
Paint grade timbers
For a plain colour to complement or match door leaves, paint grade frames are the ideal solution.
For all our frames (excluding our x-ray and security frames), a choice of durable hardwood, Scandinavian redwood or MDF is available, so you can tailor the material to suit your budget and use.

Finished with our sealer coat for final decoration on site during installation or supplied fully factory finished with a performance lacquer or anti-bacterial coating to provide good resistance to scratches and general abrasions.
