Encapsulated doors
Our range of encapsulated doors are made from hygienic, easy-to-clean PVC, designed to minimise the spread of disease.
They are hard-wearing and impact-resistant, ensuring a long life in public buildings and healthcare settings when trolleys and wheelchairs are frequently pushed against them. We are able to offer PVC edge protectors that can be combined with half height PVC face protection or alternatively the full door can be encapsulated for total protection, achieving FD30 and FD60 fire resistance.

Encapsulated doors styles & ranges
PVC
PVC is ideal for doors that require very high resistance to impact damage. The 2mm-thick material absorbs general knocks, while the through colour masks surface scratches.
For our encapsulated doorset range, the PVC fully encapsulates the door leaf faces and edges. Across the rest of our doorset range, the face of the door leaf is complemented with hardwood lippings, which can be exposed, concealed or finished with our very popular S-rad detail.
Colourcote
A high quality factory applied finish with a smooth sheen appearance in a range of RAL colours, exceeding the quality and performance but is not meant to compete with brush or roller applied site finishes.
Ideal for use in Schools, Hospitals, Care Homes, Hotels, Restaurants, Residential Accommodation including Kitchens, Bathrooms and Bedrooms. It is not harmful to the environment and can be applied with an anti-bacterial additive.
Available in the full range of RAL colours with a smooth sheen appearance.
Vision panels
The choice of glazing in door leaves is primarily based on the safety of all individuals negotiating access.
Although vision panels serve a genuine purpose, they become a prominent feature that can be used to enhance the appearance of door leaves.
Our exclusive range of aperture configurations provides the means to create unique designs.
Encapsulated glazing bead
We offer two types of glazing bead for our encapsulated doors – projecting and steel trim. Timber beads will always be hardwood and can either be lacquered for contrast or painted to match the door face.
They are generally fixed with steel pins, punched in and filled, although alternative methods such as screw fixings are available. Steel trims can be powder coated to match any RAL colour.
Encapsulated frames
For areas where hygiene is critical we have developed a PVC encapsulated frame which is particularly suited to specialist applications such as operating theatres, cleanrooms and laboratories.
