The Truss department at David Smith St. Ives have just had a work experience placement, Finley Maxwell completed a week working in the design office.
DSSI have accommodated work experience placements from St. Ivo School for many years now and enjoy showing pupils the career opportunities that exist in the manufacturing and construction industry.
Not only do we believe it is the right thing to do for our local community, but who knows, we may spark an interest that could result in these young adults being the leaders of our business in the future – we encourage more companies to do the same.
On completing his week, Finley said: “I was really pleased with my choice for a work placement at David Smith St. Ives, it was interesting to see what they do and the design software they use is really good, everyone was so friendly, making it a nice environment to work.”
