The Mayor toured our 8-acre site, meeting Tim Wilson (Managing Director), Tony Maxwell (Operations Manager), and Brett Amphlett (Builders Merchants Federation). Together, they saw how our team manufactures Firedoor sets, Staircases, Roof Trusses and Posi-Joist metal web joists for housebuilders, contractors and property developers.
He praised our recent £3 million investment in new machinery and upgraded facilities, as well as our commitment to sustainability — generating over half of our energy needs from rooftop solar.
Tim Wilson also shared how timber engineered products can play a bigger role in delivering sustainable housing for Cambridgeshire’s growing communities.
We’re proud to showcase the value of British manufacturing, right here in St Ives, and to continue contributing to both the local economy and the wider East Anglian region.
