David Smith St Ives has launched a new website, which aims to help architects, contractors, housebuilders and self-builders when sourcing engineered timber products.
For those embarking on a new project – whether they’re an architect looking for doorsets for a public sector project, or an SME housebuilder sourcing a high-end timber staircase for a luxury new build – the new website offers a wide range of technical guidance, design inspiration and practical advice from the David Smith team.
Timber products all under one roof
Adam Ding, Stairs and I-Joists Estimating Manager at David Smith St Ives, said:
“We’re in a unique position in the industry in that we offer a wide range of engineered timber products, all under one roof.
“We wanted our new website to make this much more apparent, and to give our customers one place they can go online to find all the information they need for their project – whether they’re looking for design ideas, technical guidance or wanting to see what options for materials and finishes are out there.”
Visitors to the website can browse photos of completed projects, watch videos showing products being made in the David Smith St Ives factory, and download technical information and product brochures to help with specifying products.
Product searching made easy
Doorsets customers, for example, can now see the entire range of materials, finishes and other options available for doors, and request samples of finishes direct from the website.
Marc Evans, Doorsets Sales Operations Manager at David Smith St Ives, said:
“Architects often tell us they wish they had a way to compare and select materials and finishes for doors online. We listened, and created a very easy way to do this on our website, as well as a system to request samples in just a few clicks.”
